About Us

ISW aims to usher in a revolution among the womenfolk, to generate work culture among the women groups, to create a sort of awareness which will ultimately lead to the development of the rural and urban communities therefore creating a social, economic, political and intellectual climate of justice and equality. Thus, this institution is aimed to accelerate the implementation of rural development and slum upliftment programmes.

The objective of these programmes are mainly three fold. Firstly, to provide economic independence for women so that they can fight for their rights and receive proper education and training to enhance their self-esteem. Second priority however lies in organising literacy programmes for women and children. The concluding part of the programme is designed in such a way so as to create awareness among the people through different kinds of training programmes which shall be undertaken by the institute itself.

Thus, this in short constitutes the brief of this organisation hence highlighting the dreams of the workers who sowed the seeds of this institute more than a decade ago.
