Future Programme

  1. Training centre for rural women and girl children on Agriculture and rural technology. As the Institute - such training in collaboration with govt. department it has to follow the rigid curricula. But Institute would like to implement such trainings as per need of the rural women. It was observed that the present generation of farmer's families de not like to take the strain of cultivation. So through the training this tradition can be maintained.

  2. Shelter for distress women. As the institute is working on women crisis, it has to face lots of domestic violence cases where women do not have any place to take shelter. Specially when women are thrown out from their in-laws or husband's house they have no way out. Even most of the cases parents do not like to provide shelter for the married daughter. So it is essential to provide a shelter for these distressed women to combat with the situation.

  3. Comprehensive Education Centre for Rural Children: This education centre will deal different development programme like health, hygiene and nutrition of rural children. It was observed that most of the rural children could not follow the curricula due to their malnourishment, so if the mother can be educated to keep up health for their children, children will be able to more equipped to participate at education process.

    • Different extracurricular activities and cultural enhancement for children will be in this centre. In all there will be an arrangement for fuller development of rural children.

  4. Socio - Economic and political empowerment of women through awareness and training. These can be bring a social reconstruction of their identity as a human being. It will emphasise to generate awareness in the local community about existing social problem and the possible ways for solution with a particular stress or the broad question concerning gender - justice.

  5. Integrated health development programme for rural women, specially at tribal areas of Birbhum district. Through the project we intend to facilitate both mother and young girls who can gain family planning process and how to control her body by establishing reproductive rights of women. It will serve as a basic health care for all, in addition, it will serve as a preventive health care measures in a integrated way.

  6. Economic empowerment programme for tribal women using local measures. With a skill development training which will lead essential factors like the quality of the product, market orientation, distribution system etc.

  7. Old age home. The rapid urbanisation has been associated with shortage of housing accommodation in the cities and the high rental charges acts as a severe constraints on the joint family system. The system affected rural sectors too and as in urban, rural families are gradually breaking down giving way to single family. The factors like modernisation, technological changes, relentless unemployment situation, migration from villages to the cities adversely affected traditional respect as well as attitude of empathy and care for the aged.
    The project aims to rejuvenate pitiable condition of elderly women by creating sustainable economic, health and socio - cultural environment for them.

  8. Micro credit and self-help programme. It is a continuing programme of the organisation and already started formation of saving's group in different rural areas, it will also be possible to spread out the idea of small savings successfully to a wider extent of population. Within groups, they can stand as guarantor for each other in case of availing loans. Even they can go for collective economic programme by themselves. If we can achieve the success of group building it will grow consciousness on all prime aspects of social development like health, education etc. Finally that will make the path easier to achieve economic independence.

  9. Open school and skill development for adolescent girls to prevent trafficking. Through the it is expected  the following aspects :

    1. A reduction in number of early marriages.

    2. Reduction in girl trafficking.

    3.  Positive change in attitudes of women and their families about girl child and gender issues thereby improving her status within and outside the household.

  10. Income generation through Fishery, Horticulture and cultivation of Herbal medicine plants. Sharing from incorporation, ISW has intended to assist downtrodden women to gain economic independence and it naturally consider this as organisation's prime focal point. Hence it has taken up as future programme the income generation through Fishery, Horticulture and cultivation of Herbal medicine plants.
